Create lasting change in your body

Ida Rolf working on a young client
Rolfing®, or what she called Structural Integration, was developed by Dr. Ida P. Rolf. It is a hands-on practice that is much more than a deep tissue massage or myofascial release. It works to differentiate and integrate fascia, muscles, and joints of the body to alleviate pain and give more ease and efficiency in movement. We look at the entire person to see the most important points limiting a higher level of order in your body. Fascia is a popular health topic in recent years, but Dr. Rolf talked about fascia as the “organ of support” in the body nearly 100 years ago. Theories on myofascial manipulation have evolved recently thanks to research from people like Robert Schleip, Gil Hedley, and Carla & Antonio Stecco. Pain science educators like Lorimer Moseley and Greg Lehman are also valuable resources.
